On September 6th

Noriko showed a lady and her father from America around Arashiyama and Sagano area. At first we went to Tenryuji Temple. Some lotus flowers were blooming... They were beautiful. After going around the garden of Tenryuji Temple, we walked along the Hozu River which has beautiful scenery.

After we went window-shopping at shops in Arashiyama Station, we got on a bus to Otagi Chanting Temple. There are a lot of stone statues in the temple. They enjoyed various expressions of the statues. Then we went through. an important traditional building preserved area where the atmosphere of an old Japanese town is kept.

We had lunch of buckwheat noodles, and visited Gioji Temple. The guests enjoyed the garden covered with a lot of moss. And we went through bamboo grove and visited Nonomiya Shrine.

At the end of the tour the guests said that they liked tranquil atmosphere of bamboo grove, beautiful scenery of Arashiyama, and good exercise of walking. I’m glad they enjoyed the tour.
