On July 8th and 10th.

Tomoko worked for the family from Singapore and UK.

It was a harsh weather on the both days. On 8th, we visited famous places such as Nijo castle, Kinkakuji temple in the morning. We took a little rest at Nijo castle. One of them made a special metal coins on which their name can be carved.

Then we went back to Kyoto station and had noodle lunch. As it was extreamly hot day, we all wanted to have cold noodles for lunch.

We went to Sanju-sangendo temple and Kiyomizu temple in the afternoon.

On 19th, we went to Takagamine area in the morning. First we visited Ko-etsuji temple. We enjoyed life-sized garden and three mountains called three Takagamine mountain.

Then we went to Genko-an temple. I suggested them looking for turtles ( not real) in the garden. They easily found one but not the second.

Then I talked about two windows called the window of hesitation and the one of enlightment. and then I talked about the story of Torii mototada and Tokugawa Ieyasu, which led the tragedy of Momoyama castle.

Then we visited Kotoin temple and Daisen-in temple.

For a while, we spent a quiet time in Koto-in temple which has also a sad story of Hosokawa garacia.

We had lunch at a restaurant near Daitokuji temple.

Then we went to Shosuikaku art museum only to find it went bankrupt. ( unbelievable) It is extreamly sad for me because their exhibitions was very beautiful and special.

I hope it will reopen someday.

Instead we went to Nishijin textile center, then we attend wagashi making class.

They seemed to enjoy the class and their works were really nice.

At the end, I send them back to their ryokan

I spent two days with them. When I had to say good-by, I was missing them
